Communities In Schools (CIS) is a private, nonprofit organization that connects much needed community resources from public and private
sectors with at-risk students. We utilize the power of partnerships to serve students, schools and communities.
CIS of Hernando County is a developing affiliate starting to serve kids in Fall 2011. Our target schools are Central High School and
Hernando High School.
CIS of Hernando County was awarded a $1,000 grant from Community Foundation of Hernando County. We would like to thank the Community Foundation
of Hernando County for helping us to assist at-risk students who are unable to read at grade level to maintain and accelerate their reading skills
